13th Annual YWCA Race Against Racism
As'Salaamu Alaiykum -
YWCA Greater Harrisburg held its 13th Annual Race Against Racism event on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Harrisburg. It's a 5K run/walk to promote awareness of racism in our community and to raise vital funds needed to support racial justice programs throughout the year.
Race-Day Registration began at 7:30 am and the race started at 8:30 am. Annual Kids Fun Run took place at 10:00 am. There were more participants this year than the previous years and the event was a great success.
ICNA Harrisburg joined the Muslims of Central PA Team which won the award for the Largest Group Participation, Alhamdulillah.
Alhamdulillah, we were go glad to be part of the effort that had great succes by the grace of Allah. May Allah guide us to participate in more useful community building activities and reward us all for our efforts in His path, Ameen.
