Back2School in Pennsylvania

Assalamu alaikum everyone,

I hope this message finds you in the best of health and Imaan. I pray that you and your families are safe and well. August is Back2School season at ICNA Relief and we already had our first backpack and supplies giveaway in Erie, PA, at the Islamic Association of Erie. Mayor Joe Schember attended the event as the chief guest.

Over the next two weeks, ICNA Relief is planning to hold distributions in Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Norristown, Allentown, Upper Darby, and multiple locations in Philadelphia to distribute over 1800 backpacks and supplies to needy families. We are partnering with local Masajid and organizations to ensure that the distributions are held in a socially distant setting and everyone attending is masked. In addition to that, we are also organizing drive through distributions and doorstep deliveries at certain locations.

We are accepting school supplies donations at the following locations during regular prayer times:
- Islamic Cultural Center of Willow Grove
- Islamic Society of Chester County
- Iqra Institute
- North Penn Mosque
- Muslim Association of Greater Pittsburgh

In these difficult and uncertain times, I am reaching out to you to request you to support our Back2School program by making a donation today. With just $15 donation you can sponsor a backpack full of school supplies for a kid. Your donations will help us serve those families who have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in Pennsylvania and ensure that kids have the supplies to continue their learning unhindered.
